August 6th 1999
   I woke up Friday morning in SALT LAKE CITY Utah. At 6 am I began the drive south on I-15. I stopped in PROVO to mail some post cards. Further south on I-15 I made an exit at SCIPIO , and drove on Rte. 50 to I-70. Then I drove S.W. on I-70 to RICHFIELD (Elev.5330'), where I stopped for breakfast.
  After breakfast I left Richfield and began the drive south on Rte. 89. At 1:30 pm I reached ORDERVILLE Utah. I could go no further without a fuel fill-up.:

The drive down from Richfield was the most scenic part of the state.
   By 3:30 pm I was at the Utah > Arizona Border.

Once in Arizona , I stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam.

I did not go inside, since I had been there before in September of '96.

At 5 pm I arrived in PAGE
  at another Days Inn, where I stayed Over night.

At this point my trip milege was 2954.
