ATTENTION NOVEMBER 2, 2005 DEMONSTRATION
PARTICIPANTS
IF YOU PLAN TO MARCH:

The City of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department respect your
First Amendment Rights. It is our honor and our responsibility to ensure
your right to demonstrate and speak freely today in a reasonable time,
place and manner which ensures public safety -- yours as well as others.

So that you can exercise your First Amendment rights safely, the City of
Chicago has provided the following route for a march:

At 1:00 p.m., proceed from the Federal Plaza north on Dearborn
Street to Wacker Drive. Proceed west on Wacker Drive one block
to Clark Street. Proceed south on Clark Street to the Federal Plaza.
If necessary, we will block off traffic for your safety.
A permit has been denied for any other route, including State Street and
Michigan Avenue. Therefore, a march down State Street or Michigan
Avenue is unlawful. You are notified of the unlawfulness and directed
to disperse from these streets at once.

In addition, time is of the essence. You will have a limited window of
time in which to conduct the march.
